Floorball is a fun, fast, safe and inexpensive sport, requiring only a stick and a ball to play.
Floorball is one of the fastest growing sports across the world and in the United States, with the most popular leagues in northern Europe. The International Floorball Federation (IFF) includes 68 member associations from all continents. It has been recognized by the International Olympic Committee and will be an official sport at the World Games in Poland 2017 and at the World Games in Birmingham, Alabama 2021.
Officially floorball is played indoors with five players and a goalkeeper on each team. However, the sport is commonly played in many different forms, with three, four or five players per team and with a small or medium sized goal. Floorball can be played on most indoor or outdoor surfaces, including wooden gym floors, smooth asphalt, or the preferred rubber mat flooring. In many countries floorball has become one of the most popular sports for physical exercise, offering various levels for all types of people. It is a year-round activity for both amateurs and professionals.
